How the Process Works

Step 1 — Place Your Order
Select your engraving type and complete checkout. You'll receive a confirmation email with instructions on what to send us.

Step 2 — Send Us Your Details
Reply to your confirmation with the exact text, message, or photo you want engraved. Include your watch make and model so we can confirm compatibility.

Step 3 — We Send You a Mockup
Before touching your watch, we'll send a digital preview of the engraving layout for your approval. We'll revise it until it's exactly right. No work begins without your written sign-off.

Step 4 — Ship Us Your Watch
Once the mockup is approved, you'll ship your watch to us. We recommend using a tracked and insured shipping method appropriate for the value of your timepiece.

Step 5 — We Engrave and Return It
Engraving is completed within 3–5 business days of receiving your watch. We ship it back via tracked service, packaged securely.

What Makes a Good Engraving Watch

• Solid stainless steel or titanium caseback — Engraves cleanly and holds detail well. Most watches with a metal caseback qualify.
• Flat or slightly curved caseback surface — Gives us the most working area for text and design
• Screw-back or snap-back case — The caseback itself is the engraving surface; we do not work on sapphire or exhibition casebacks

Custom engraving is permanent and irreversible. We take every precaution to ensure accuracy — including the mandatory mockup approval step — but we cannot undo completed engraving work. Please review your mockup carefully before approving. We are not responsible for errors in text or design that were approved by the customer.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my watch can be engraved?
Most watches with a solid metal (stainless steel or titanium) caseback are compatible. Watches with exhibition (see-through) casebacks, sapphire backs, or ceramic backs cannot be engraved with this service. Send us your model via the contact page and we'll confirm before you order.

Will you see the inside of my watch?
No. We only work on the exterior caseback surface. The caseback is not removed during the engraving process for most watches.

What if I don't like the mockup?
We revise it until you're happy. There's no limit to revision rounds before approval. We don't begin engraving until you explicitly say yes.

How should I ship my watch to you?
We recommend a tracked and insured shipping method. For watches valued over $500, we strongly recommend insured mail or a carrier service with declared value. Shipping instructions are included in your order confirmation email.

Can I send a photo of handwriting for the handwritten engraving?
Yes — that's exactly how it works. Take a clear photo of the handwriting on a white background with good lighting. Higher contrast and cleaner paper give the best engraving results.

What if the finished engraving doesn't match the mockup I approved?
If the engraving deviates from the approved mockup due to our error, we will correct it at no cost. This situation is extremely rare given our verification process, but we stand behind our work completely.

Is this a good wedding or anniversary gift?
It's one of the most meaningful gifts you can give a watch wearer. An engraved watch caseback turns a timepiece they already love into something they'll keep forever. Coordinates, a date, or a short handwritten message make the gift deeply personal.
